The UK law says you're entitled to claim a tax refund for the essential mileage you've travelled for work. Mileage tax or Mileage Allowance Relief (MAR) refunds you 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles you’ve travelled by car or van. After 10,000 it's 25p per mile.
